Picked up a new Dynex 40" 1080p LCD to spruce up the newly renovated bedroom. Hooked it up via HDMI to my 7100 box - every time I changed channels, FF'd through either a DVR'd show or even an On Demand show - the TV's input box would pop up in the corner of the screen (HDMI 1 - 1080i HD). Almost like the STB was doing a handshake every time an action was chosen. Finally had time to try out component yesterday - problem solved. It's a shame I couldn't go with the 1 wire solution, but hopefully some day VZ will get these boxes to actually work right with HDMI.
