Almost EVERY channel "unavailable". No tech until SUNDAY!!!

I am honestly at my wits end with FiOS service.  First, my horrible internet issues which, although improved, still remain.  Now, I cannot even watch TV at all.  This all started BEFORE the hurricane.  Started as pixelaiton issues and sound loss and random freezing on certain channels.  Then channels started to become "unavailable."  I got a few black screens of death saying press "B" to troubleshoot.  Of course it never worked.  Now, virtually every single channel gets this message and watching TV has become impossible.

How come something that worked perfectly well for 6 months all of a sudden start having these problems?  So now, I'm stuck with no TV service until hopefully Sunday.  Is there anything, anything at all I can do here to attempt to fix this?  I've done all the usual resets of the STB and ONT and connections, etc.  The only connections I can't get to are behind the ONT box and I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to take that off the wall mysef.  Although i wouldn't even know how.  Any ideas?  Has anyone else had this problem?

Hello,

I can see why you are frustrated and I apologize for this. If all of your channels are currently unavailable, this could mean several things are happening. There is an issue with the coax cabling on the splitter. In your post you indicated you've done most of the troubleshooting which is the correct steps to resolve the trouble. I sent you a private message to for further assistance.

I'm having a similar issue. Nearly all of my HD channels are now  pixellated or entirely "unavailable." i have unplugged and replugged all the  tv coax connections.  Please let me know what else i can try.

I am having the same issue ever since Verizon came to install my line.  Of course I tried to contact the rep who left their 'mobile number' to no avail.  Then called and spent a significant amount of time with someone on the phone.  Then received a replacement box in the mail which did not solve the issue.  Then spent more time with someone on the phone who said a tech would come by before 10:30 the next day.  After staying home from work a second day, no one came by.  It's not been 6 days since my installation and still almost no channels work.  They all say error ... press 'b' or call to fix.  Also, at this point I'm pretty sure 'unusually high call volumes' are just 'usually high call volumes' ...

If my issue isn't resolved today by 7PM, I am going back to my old local cable provider.  This is ridiculous and too bad because fios worked great in my old unit.

According to your post, you say "in your old unit". That sounds like you are in an apartment, which complicates things a bit. There could be a wiring issue going to the new apartment which reduces the signal. If your STB has any functionality, you might try the diagnostic routine in the menu to see what your signal strength is: should be around 23-26. If the signal strength is normal range, then try the auto-correct routine also found in the menu. If that still doesn't work and you have a normal signal range, try component cables with separate audio cables from the STB to the TV. The "channel unavailable" message was quite prevalent a few years ago, and the HDMI handshake was the culprit. Make sure that your TV has the latest firmware as well. That's a start. Good luck.
