It may not be their fault.
They certainly can't control the Internet.
Are you trying to watch via wireless or wired connection.
If wireless, try wired.
Also, what is your Internet speed?

My Amazon service was freezing also until I moved the router closer to that TV. My wireless signal was to weak and it kept freezing. Ideally it would be better if you can hook up an ethernet cable to that TV.

Have my Amazon hard-wired to a switch and it never freezes. Neither does Netflix, Hulu or Vudu. So this claim that Verizon is trying to "force" somebody into using their VOD is silly.

I have Amazon FireTv and was using WiFi - had some issues with freezing due to weak WiFi signal (router in a distant room wired to my computer). I solved my problem by getting FiOS Network Extender. I can now use WiFi for the FireTv box, but since the Network Extender comes with an ethernet port, I am using that my FireTv, Added benefit is that I now have improved WiFi signal throughout my home for other devices.

The new FIOS Quantum router also has a stronger WIFI signal.
The network extender is approx $75 and the Quantum router is $150 unless they are having a sale.
