This is happening far too frequently. We have been connected about a month.
After watching a channel for a while, it goes completely quiet. It's happened with NHL Network, Golf Channel and CNN. No specific pattern.
I go to LAST channel and sound is there, LAST back and quiet.
I've even tried powering off the STB and back on. No luck. Eventually it comes back.

Is this audio issue only happening on that one channel or other channels as well? Do you lose sound like that when watching a DVD or using a different source on your TV? To run a self diagnostic, press MENU, then goto CUSTOMER SUPPORT, then IN HOME AGENT, then SET TOP BOX AUTO CORRECTION. If that does not fix it, try from the same menu REBOOT STB. This is also happening to me. It does not matter what channel its on.
The sound just shuts off. I have a samsung tv if that matters

I have the same problem. It doesn't matter which channel as well. And I've not only had it happen on live TV, it's happened when I'm watching something on the DVR. So, it's happened while it was being recoreded as well.
