I've been experiencing a severe issue with Fios HD DVR STB. At first, I would lose picture and sound for a few seconds, then it progressed until I would get nothing at all. The screen is completely black with no audio. I just switched to another HDMI input and got the same issue. I've checked the HDMI input and I get picture and audio just fine with DVD player(s). Obviously it is not an issue with my tv or HDMI cables, has to be Fios HD DVR STB. Anyone got a fix?
I have the same issue with my HD DVR STB:
Screen goes black, no audio
Fios screen pops up asking if I want to troubleshoot
Checks to make sure it's not a "blacked out" program
asks if I want to have the STB reset. Reset the box and it fixes the problem 90% of the time.
Other 10% of time I have to unplug entire unit, wait 5 minutes and then plug back in.
Not sure if this is relevant but it feels like it happens same time everday (around 10am or around 6pm) and that it happens after switching to and from HD to SD channels.
