Cable Card Drama?

Like some of you I purchased a third party cable box converter to avoid the monthly fees Verizon charges for their set top boxes. By FCC rules, Verizon must provide cable cards to any subscriber who chooses to use their own equipment. As many have found, Verizon will rent you a cable card for $5 per month. The problem is that Verizon converts the cards from multiple stream to single stream, which makes it impossible for the card to operate properly. They then advise their subscriber that the converter box is not be operating properly. Verizon is engaged in unfair  tactics.

I have had a couple tv tuner cards from Verizon that were labeled as M cards, and also operated as Multi stream cards.  Are you sure the problem isn't in fact your device?  that's an unusual experience, we haven't seen many like it around here.

Verizon only offers M-cards so it is either not configured properly or something is wrong with your equipment.

I have two cable cards from Verizon and they each support six streams. So not sure what the problem is on your end, but Verizon DOES NOT "convert their cards from multiple stream to single stream."
