Caller ID only works on my boxes when they can connect to the internet. When they are not responding, caller ID is not working which sees to be most of the time. I think this is more poor programming on Verizon and Motorola's part. I am sure once they get these dvr's out of beta it will work for everyone.
I recently tried enabling my FiOS TV Caller ID, twice actually. However, it's still not working. I contacted Verizon tech support and the tech explained the reason is due to the fact that I have Distinctive Ring on my line and it causes a conflict so Caller ID will not function on my TV. Verizon is aware of the issue, but there is no ETA as to when the problem will be resolved. I asked for them to expediate the fix. The tech recommended I go into this Forums area and complete an online form to request the enhancement. I do not really see it as an enhancement, because there is nothing stating Distinctive Ring is an issue, but I'm willing to try this route so the service works.
Does anyone know where I can find this customer request for enhancement form?
