All of a sudden the remote does not work with the set top box, but it does work with the TV. I can turn the TV on and off using the remote, change volume, and switch inputs, but the remote is not communicating with STB. The remote was provided by Verizon with the STB. Batteries in the remote are new, I have tried rebooting/power cycling the STB, and there is nothing obstructing the front of the STB. TV has sat right on top of STB for the past two years without incident -- until now. Any thoughts on what the issue might be?

The one with 4 buttons or two buttons?
If you ht the STB button on the remote does anything happen?
