DVD recorder (JVC) doesn't recognize the channels in my setbox.

Trying to hook up with my new DVD Recorder (JVC) and got stuck...

While doing initial setting on the Recorder, the recorder didn't get the signal of the channels from FiOS setbox(standard).

I checked the connection, and seems they are properly connected.

I really want to record a program,

What do I need to do to have the recorder recognize my current cable(FiOs) channels?

Please, please let now if anybody  knows about this issue!

Thank you,

Re: DVD recorder (JVC) doesn't recognize the channels in my setbox.

Your DVD recorder will not be able to get the channels from the STB.

You have to connect the STB to the DVD recorder, turn the STB to the channel you want to record. Then tell the DVD recorder to record the input channel. You must be watching what you are recording.

Thanks, got the idea.  Now it works!
