Been having dvr and live freezing issues for the last three weeks. Exchanged a dvr twice thinking that was the problem. Finally had tech people come today. They checked signal which was fine and then told me this is a known issue that 1.9 has buffering issues and that a fix 1.9.1 is coming in two weeks I don't want to bash Verizon because 1.9 was great when it first came out. Allowing DVR's to view each other, allowing normal boxes to record and delete from DVR. Great improvement until the buffering issues started happening. Very weird that tech support kept giving me new boxes when this appears to have been known the whole time. Let's hope 1.9.1 fixes things.

Correct. This is a known issue that was reported during beta testing and is supposed to be fixed in 1.9.1 - whenever that is rolled out. However I would not count on that 2 week information since tech support and field service rarely have the correct information regarding update rollouts.

I think your right. My wife called to get a partial refund for the failed DVR service and no one who she spoke to seemed to have any idea about the known buffering issues. Our visit from the technician had no record of anything mentioned about 1.9.1 just that our problem was resolved. Note to Verizon: This is why people came to you in the first place, Cablevision's support was the worst. Now verizon seems to be stumbling over it's size. One whole part of the company does not seem to know or acknowledge you have a MAJOR issue with your FIOS service. Someone from verizon step up and publicly acknowledge your product has a bug and you are going to fix it.

This seems to be my issue as well. I was told boxes numbered 7216 have this problem since the new guide came out and that it's a software issue. The rep told me, basically, too bad - sit & wait.
Extremely frustrating!
