Re: Delay in Changing Channels

There are multitude simple ways of solving this problem. The goal is to shield the STB from light reflecting around the room, especially the IR light we can't see, while still allowing the remote's IR light through. We can filter the sensor to cut back on it's sensitivity (if the remote signal is great enough to still get through, [try another brand remote if necessary]). We can push the STB back on it's shelf to cut off some of the reflections from above, below, or the sides. We can fashion a paper or cardboard or (?) tube to place over the sensor to restrict the IR signal to just the direction from the remote. We can try eliminating or covering some shiney objects in the room (place a tablecloth over the glass coffee table). Once you know what works, you can decide on a more elegant solution.
