Explain the yellow triangle icon with an exclaimation point

I'm new to FIOS and trying to understand how to program it to record shows. I have the Motorola QIP 7232-P2 STB.

I set-up all the shows from my old ReplayTV PVR using Record Series. Selected no repeats. On the program guide, the show has that yellow triangle saying "Deleted by user" or something like that. I don't understand.

It usually means that there was a conflict and the lower priority recording was cancelled.

I have been noticing the same thing lately, For me it occurs when I have set up a new series recording and this "Deleted by user" error appears immediately for some recordings over 1 week in the future. In these cases there were NO conflicting recordings scheduled. I notice that they later resolve themselves without my input. I think this may have started after my swap to a 7232 DVR.

My experience is the yellow triangle and 'will not record' is  usually because the actual program for that time/date/channel has changed since the recording was originally scheduled. I.E. XXX on Channel 502 is set to record on Monday night at 10:00PM, but XXX is no longer actually going to be on Channel 502 at 10:00PM Monday night.  Sometimes it seems to be only a matter of start time changing 1 minute in either direction.

The scheduled recording cancels because what you have scheduled to record isn't actually going to be on as originally scheduled.  Unfortunately once it cancels, it isn't smart enough to re-instated the recording if re-schedules to that date/time/channel at some point before.

The channel guide supplier Verizon uses for FiOS TV isn't the greatest, and this problem is fall out from a not so accurate program guide.
