Extend record time

All the shows I record on my DVR are cut off my a minute or so at the end, so I never see the end of a show. I would like to extend record time by a couple of minutes.

I went to Verizon help and they said I would have to manually record every show, which is complicated and too much trouble ever time you wish to record a show

YOu also can only record using that process on the main DVR, which complicates recording even more.

Is this a universal problem for Verizon subscribers? Does everyone lose the end of the recordings? What is the solution?

YES.  this is a very common issue.  recordings will have to be done manually.   this is a issue due to broadcaster timing issues. there is not much can be done. just do the recordings manaully and be done with it.

HTH.

The guy above is giving you wrong information.

If it's a single recording, just go to DVR--Scheduled Recordings--(DVR Name)--Show Title--Modify Start & End Time

If it's a series recording, just go to DVR--Manage Series Recordings--(DVR Name)--Show Title--Modify Series

That's all there is to it. You don't have to set up a manual recording.

Thank you for the information, I will certainly give it a try. Like most people, I often record several programs in an evening. To have to manually recored everything would be far more trouble than I want to go through. I frequently visit my daughter's home who has a different provider, and every program I record starts a couple of minutes early, and runs a few minutes after, so I don't believe it's a station timing issue.
