FIOS hook to residential intranet?

I have a house pre-wired for intranet.  There's a large box in the basement with all the cable connections, as well as the intranet switch and router.  Will the FIOS line be able to hookup to this - my house is large and wireless isn't alway the best option.

The short answer is probably yes.  Verizon provides a router with the service and is generally recommend that you use the VZ router if you plan to have the TV Service.

The one thing you need to know is that most new service will connect the VZ router via COAX.  If you wish to use your existing router you will need to request the Internet connection is a cat 5 connection and not a COAX connection.

If you take the VZ router you will then need to move your existing router connections (which includes the switch) into the VZ router.
