Wouldn't it be cool if on your iOS device, you could swipe down on your notification center, and access a FiOS Remote through a widget.
I think it would be nice if the Verizon FiOS App included a widget for your set-top box. If you are connected to Wifi, the widget can connect to your default STB and provide a remote interface.
Thoughts?

I've not seen too many genuinely creative ideas in this forum, however this is the best one yet.
An IOS widget Remote would be a win/win..

FIOS Mobile App for Android already provides this capability.
When I am home, I can control all of my STBs with a "remote"
Not sure if IOS has the same capability.

The OP is asking for a widget, not the full app, that would appear in the IOS notification area rather than having to open an go to the full FiOS Mobile App remote control function. The equivalent function on an Android device would be something like an addition to the quick settings panel, or a notification (or a home screen widget) that when opened launches the remote control function.

Its two clicks for me. One to start the app and a second on the remote icon to bring it up.
Can't imaigine it getting much simpler than that.
