FiOS TV App - Samsung TV

Hello,

I have FIOS internet 75/35 and the prime HD service. I am using the samsung TV app until my install for TV is complete (I already have internet service). The issue I am having is that the samsung app keeps cutting in and out while watching diferent channels. It is very intermittent, some hours its not very bad, however others every other minute the app shows the loading screen and then takes a few seconds to reload.

I really prefer to keep using the samsung app if I can, as I like that its built into my tv.

I have checked quite a few things, my router seems ok and when the issues happen I am not doing anythign out of the ordinary like downloading or uploading anything.

Any advice?

Do you have any other streaming apps on your TV (maybe Pandora or something else)?

If so, do they stream ok?

If not, get one of them (Pandor is free) and try it out.

If it stutters as well, then your TV is having network access issues.

If it doesn't. then it is the app. I have read other people say they have had issues.

I use my occasionally and have not really seen an issue.

I have other streaming apps such as pandorda, and plex, HBOGO. All of these work without issue.

Since other apps are working, I would suspect the Amazon app.  I don't believe it is the Amazon site since I stream prime shows on a daily basis without any problem.  Using a blu-ray player, but occassionally on computer.

You might try contacting Amazon tech support and see if they've had other complaints with the Samsung TV app. That particular app is relatively new and only a few models have it, so it could be buggy.

When you do solve the problem be sure and post the solution.  I'm considering a Samsung TV, but don't know if paying extras for that app is worth it.
