Fios upgrade user interface, now Apple TV is not HD

Verizon FIOS has pushed an update to its cable boxes and guide UI. Now for some reason my Apple TV displays anamorphic video and I cannot get HD.

My Samsung TV is 720, but I had to adjust my settings to 1080 to get HD on my Roku and other media services.

Apple TV doesnt seem to support this and now it's anamorphic video.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried using a seperate HDMI connection directly from the Apple TV to your TV? If you havnt yet, give that a try

There is no connection between the FiOS STB and your Apple TV issue.  Your thread subject seems to indicate that you thing there is, but there is not.  It's something else.
