1. Is there any way to port recorded shows to MR DVR?

2. Does VZ have to activate after I do physical installation?

3. Do Ineed the STB in my other room still?

4. How many 2 hour movies can be stored on th MR DVR?

MR-DVR is just a service feature that Verizon activates on all the DVR's in your home.  There is no need to swap out your existing Verizon DVR.

I would try to get a newer 7232 series DVR or the Cisco DVR.  They both have the 500 gig hard drive and if that is not enough you can add up to 2 TB eSATA external to it.
