Home Media DVR with HD DVR (QIP6416)

I noticed an old post stating Home Media was only compatible with certain models of STB/HD STB. I have a HM DVR in my living room and a regular HD DVR in my bedrooom; but I cannot view recorded programing on the HD DVR in the bedroom. If I plug in my standard STB, then I can see recorded programs.

Is my HD DVR not compatible with my HM HD DVR. (BTW. both of my STBs are QIP6416).

Thanks

You cannot view recorded shows from other DVR's, only non-DVR boxes.

If you cannot view on other DVRs, then how can you tape HD programming and watch in other rooms. Are you saying we cannot tape HD recording on a Home Media DVR and watch in another room?

If so, this product is a sham. All HD receivers are DVR receivers as well

Thanks

Negative, all HD receivers are not DVRs. You can get an HD receiver for $9.99/month; a DVR is $15.99/month and a HMDVR is $19.99/month.

I have three HD receivers and one HMDVR. Viewing of HD content over those is fine. If you have four DVRs, then you can just record the show on each DVR, if you want to watch it in that room. The point of HMDVR is to watch DVR programs on non-DVRs.

also bad news.

dvr's can't share with other dvr's.

they can only share with hd and sd set top boxes that do not have dvr's built in.

They are trying to get support to do dvr sharing with other dvr's but at this point, you can have only one hub dvr, that shares with other non dvr cable boxes.
