How do I connect my 8 STB to my FIOS TV network system?

I don't think you can. The MoCA standard that the STB's use to communicate with the Verizon servers only supports 7 devices.

That effectively limits you to the Router and 6 other devices (STB's and/or DVR's).

In theory, you can do this but it's a bit tricky ...

Essentially, you have to build two seperate MoCA networks in your house.   Let's say you build two completely seperate coax networks in your house with 4 boxes on each network.  Once done, the trick is in how you connect them up.

For the first network (with 4 boxes), connect it up normally with the STB's, router via Coax, and the ONT forming one working network.

For the second network, first you need to get the TV signal over on to it.  So, install a splitter onto the first network.  Connect the output from the splitter to a Lo-Pass filter designed to filter out anything above 900Mhz (where the internet signals for MoCA run) and then connect this to the second network of STB's.  You can get these at most home improvement stores which carry digital TV supplies and if not, online.  They're inexpensive.

Now, to get the internet over onto the second network, purchase a MoCA bridge (ActionTEC HME2200).  Connect the Coax side of the bridge to the second network (on the side closest to the STB's on the second network relative to the low-pass filter) and connect the ethernet port to a LAN ethernet port on your Verizon supplied ActionTec router.

Now you should have internet and TV on the second network and with the low-pass filter in place you essentially have only 5 nodes on each of the seperate MoCA spaces.

The limit is 7 IP STB per MoCA node, and as many DCT's and MCARD's as you want.

As lasagna stated above you get multiple nodes by adding additional ECB's. I've done this by disabling the DHCP server on an old Actiontec BHR (that I haven't returned yet), and connecting the LAN from the primary BHR to the LAN of the old BHR I configured as an ECB.
