I have a black TV box that isn't working properly!

It won't display program information nor stored shows on the DVR.  the box appears to be plugged in correctly, though on the back, there are two plug sockets and the top one doesn't have a plug-in it.

What is the model of the black box you have.  The top plug on the back is an additional outlet and does not require anything to be plugged into it.

Hi AdvicePro, sorry your box isnt working correctly. Try this, remove coax cable to "RF IN" or "Cable IN" on the stb, and remove power to the box. After 20 seconds, replace coax cable then the power cord. Wait for it to reset (when the time appears on the display). If that doesnt help, do the same to the DVR and try again. Let me know if this helps.
