IP Control Protocol for DVR?

I'm a new FiOS subscriber and I'd like to integrate my DVR with a Crestron control system.  I've seen IR modules but was hoping for an IP-based control protocol, hopefully something that can provide guide data, like the DirecTV IP protocol.

I've seen information on the upcoming LUA-based widget development stuff.  Will this allow us to write scripts to control the boxes?  Or is it strictly aimed at widget development?

Is there an IP control protocol for the FiOS DVRs?  If so, where can I find it?

Thanks.

To my knowledge the LUA SDK stuff is only for Widget (STB app) development.  As far as set top control with a Crestron - you'd have to use an IR system with the Mot / GI protocol to control it.

There is an IP protocol to control the DVR. Verizon uses it for their DVR app you can get for a smart phone. Good Luck prying that from their hands as I am sure they consider it quite proprietary.

Now if you happen to be good with a sniffer......
