I have an IPC 1100 set top box in our bedroom. The display brightness is kept on low. Every time Verizon reboots my box for an upgrade or other isuue (usually at night) the brightness level always automatically goes to high and lights up the bedroom. It is very annoying. The next day when I go to reset the brightness level back to dim, the menu setting for the display is still on dim, so I change it to normal and then back to dim and the brightness resets back to dim as it was before the reboot. I notice in the forum that a similar issue existed back in 2010 with some other set top boxes, and the answer from Tech Support at that time was "known issue." Well, hopefully, this is also now a known issue that can be resolved the next time an update is done.
