IR Extender

What model STB's have a working IR extender port on it that allows IR in? I will be placing the box in a closet and need to put IR extender cable by the TV. I have read that only certain STB's actually have a working port even though most have a jack in the rear. Thanks.

I know my Motorola QIP 7232 DVR has one - since I use it. It works perfectly btw. Good luck.

I believe all Motorola 7000 series will work with an IR extender. It is the old 6000's series that do not.
