I have a wifi system in the house that is plugged into the Verizon router. I am not using the verizon wifi. The subnet is 2.1 vs 1.1. I do this because the stock wifi barely reaches half of my house. I see that the app is apparently locked into the same subnet as the stock wifi. Anyway around this?

App doesn't lock to anything. It is all based on the device it is running on.
Are the two subnets using the same SSID?

I have the wifi on the Verizon router disabled. I am using a separate wifi AP. Verizon router is on 192.168.1.X network. Wifi AP is plugged into a router that is plugged into the Verizon router. This router is providing a 192.168.2.X IP address to the wifi AP.
