Laptop not a mobile device? Really?

I don't have a smartphone with a large enough screen, or a tablet, what I do have is a laptop. I take it with me when I travel, and I use it at home. So, why can't I watch shows or recordings from my laptop? Bigger screen, faster processor, only makes sense. Yet, there is no Verizon app for laptops. And, apparently, no place to make this a suggestion where the powers-that-be would read it.

You can watch some things on your laptop. http://tv.verizon.com/

I can do that without Verizon, and a lot for free. What I can't do with other sites is watch what's on my DVR.

There is nothing for the laptop to watch what is on your DVR. Only the mobile app.

Isn't that what I started out saying? The question is Why Not?

Bugs me almost as much that there is no place to seriously make suggestions to Verizon.

I'm certain that Verizon is keenly aware that people want to watch their recorded content anywhere on any device.  When they decide to offer this feature is another issue, as it requires significant software and hardware upgrades to existing equipment.  And you can be certain that they won't do it until they figure out a way to make money off it.

Enjoy.

Didn't think you could watch anyting on your DVR except via another STB.

Is it now available of FIOS APP on your phone?

No, it was my misunderstanding of FIOS Mobile. Should be an option, though.

Look into getting a Slingbox. It's not that expensive and will give you EVERYTHING you're looking for in this situation. I've had one for a few years and it's been priceless.
