Hello All,
I am new to FIOS, only about 2 Months, and trying to understand the functionality - any help will be greatly appreciated.
I recently changed my QIP6416 in Bedroom and an HD box in the Den to two DVR boxes QIP7232.
In my old configuration, I could set up recoding on the DVR from either box as well as watching recorded program in either room.
In my new set up, with two DVRs, I can watch recorded program from either DVR, but only set up recording on the DVR in the room I am in.
My questions are:
1. How does the Multi Room
2. Are the QIP7232 boxes a MultiRoom DVRs?
2. Should I be able to set up recording from one room on either of the two DVRs?
3. Should I be able to record the same program on both DVRs?
4. Since there are no printed user guide provided by verizon, I could only find installation guide on the website, where can I find operating instructions for the Multi room DVR ?
Any help explaining Multi Room DVR functionality will be appreciated

2. Yes, in the sense that material recorded on either box is viewable on all other STB/DVR boxes on your network (with certain exceptions related to HD vs. SD content). Remember that you must also have multiroom functionality enabled in your subscription settings; this must be done over the phone. If you had multi-room functionality with the old boxes, you should be OK.
With respect to multi-room recording using a single box, or both boxes individually, see below.

3. Question not 100% clear. Yes, you can record the same program on both DVRs, provided that you schedule the recording on the DVR where you want it recorded. I don't believe that you can record the same content twice, once on each box, if you are scheduling from a single box.
It is my understanding that scheduling from a single box will only give you the option to record on your chosen DVR if the scheduling DVR doesn't have sufficient space for the scheduled recording (hope that's clear enough). I am not sure how this will work when scheduling using MyVerizon online, but it's worth checking. Each box should be listed individually online.

4. For starters, type "DVR" into the "Ask the Community" search box at the top of the page. There are many references, but probably not a complete all-in-one guide in one particular place. The user "lacticacidtrip" has made many informative posts on these forums regarding DVR menus, operating characteristics, etc. Be sure to check his stuff.
For a specific link, I think you will find this material helpful.
