Does Verizon have any plans to broadcast more NHL Center Ice games in HAD? I notice right now they only have one channel for HAD broadcasts. I had NHL Center Ice with Directv and watched probably 85% of the games in HAD. Is it an issue of bandwidth?
Thanks.

Thank
The issue is with inDemand, whom Verzion contracts with for the sports PPV packages as they are the cable provider for such items. To be fair to inDemand, they actually have 2 HD channels for Center Ice and Extra Innings, but Verzion only carries one (I don't know about the NBA and MLS packages).
However, I think the issue with the rest of it is that inDemand may not have the bandwidth to carry all of the HD games.Verzion has the bandwidth and possibly the QAM space (not sure about that one though). I wouldn't mind if they stuffed 3 HD channels per QAM for these packages.
For me, if this doesn't change next season, I will not be subscribing to Center Ice again. Hockey in SD just doesn't do it for me.
I wish they would accelerate the IPTV plans and dump off some of the channels to IPTV (heck, even these).
