NONHD DVD BOX

I am not happy with my new HD DVD set up.   I have been advised I cannot have my old Non HD DVD box back.  My new box will receive HD but my TV is not HD..I am told the HD DVD box will receive both HD and NON HD so there is no non HD boxes available (they are obsolete )   How can my HD dvd receive both HD and non-HD  and I be billed for a non HD DVD box rental???   AETHER

Technically, your HD DVR can work with both SD and HD because it supports the proper codecs for both SD and HD signals. The tuner section can receive both sets of singals from the coax and the disk on the DVR doesn't really know or care what it is recording.

I don't have any HD TVs either, but I appreciate the expanded disk space I get by having an HD DVR since HD content takes up way more space than does SD content I can record hours and hours of SD content.
