Need help with Quam tuner

I have a Sharp TV in my kitchen. I already have 3 DVRs and 3 digital adaptors. I tried to hook up the kitchen TV, but it will not work. The TV book says it has a Quam tuner, but when I try to search for channels, nothing will come up. What am I doing wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.

When you scan for channels, what are the choices as to type of scan?  In order to find the QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) channels you need to scan for digital or cable or something like that.  My Sharp is able to find all the local SD channels, local digital channels (HD), music channels, and PEG channels.

If you post the model the manual could be looked up and possibly more help could be given.

Hi, Thanks for the response. It is model LC-19SB24U. I am confused about which settings to pick.

It gives me the options for Air, Cable(STD), Cable(HRC), and Cable(IRC). I tried all 3, but none seem to get any channels.

Cable(STD) should work.  I'm assuming you are following the directions on page 22 of the manual and (please excuse the dumb question) have the antenna input hooked up to a split coax from the ONT.  Then you selected Cable (STD), told it to scan,  waited for scan to complete, and then verified that your tuning mode was still set for Cable (STD).  The setup method is almost the same as mine except that I don't have 3 different cable modes and it works fine.

If you did all the right stuff (and I have no reason to assume you didn't) and you still can't find any channels, I would suggest contacting Sharp.
