I received a new remote yesterday along with a new set top box. Got the box working fine but the remote would not turn the TV on or off and wouldn't control the volume.
I followed all the steps on the paper enclosed with the remote - NOTHING!
I called technical support - NOTHING!
Checked on-line instructions and followed them to the letter - NOTHING!
Frustrated, I tried again this morning and just happened to flip the remote itself over. On the back was a completely different set of instructions from what was in the written instructions, on-line and from technical support.
Hallelujah, it worked.
If you have a P265 remote, flip it over and try those instructions.
What brand TV do you have?
