I had FIOS last year before switching back to Cablevision because of what I felt were excessive taxes and fees. The picture with FIOS was spectacular andm I would judge, about 20 per cent better than Cablevision. I've just returned to FIOS and it is my feeling that the picture quality is not as sharp as it was last year. Is there an objective way to determine if you are getting the best possible FIOS picture? Some sort of signal test, perhaps?
Thank you.

Best way to tell that isn't too expensive is to either borrow an HD OTA or buy one (I bought mine for 30 dollars)
hook it up and compare the two broadcasts
