Problems with QIP-7100 and Sharp Aquos TV.

I just received my FiOS setup on Monday and I'm having the same issue with HDMI handshaking. Only difference is my connection is going through a Integra 7.9 AV receiver.

When I first plugged it up, it seemed to work fine. But a few hours later after messing with various settings trying to setup other things in my theater, the STB & receiver wouldn't stay synced up for more than 45-60 secs. For now I am using components and optical for audio. I'm curious as to if this simply the same flaw everyone else is experiencing, or if its some setting I may have changed to cause this to happen.

It doesn't appear that you have the same issue since you are already using component cables.  The issue mentioned in this thread is related to HDMI connections.  Using component cables is the fix - unfortunantly.

You misread my post....I initially had everything setup via HDMI. I switched over to component  because nothing was working...
