QIP7232: Customize Closed Caption Display?

Okay, I powered up the box and pressed the "OK" button twice to get into the Diagnostics menu. 'd12' is the 'User Setting Status' page referenced on pages 30-33 of the manual Verizon posted for QIP7232, but it appears to be read only.

I still have 1.8 of the IMG. Is it possible for me to customize the caption settings (opacity, font size, color, etc.)?

Also, does the 1.9 IMG incorporate the ability to customize those settings without having to go into the Diagnostics menu?

Power OFF the DVR, press OK, press Menu works for me.

I have 1.8, I have no idea what if anything changes with 1.9.
