I replaced my DISH service with FIOS full boat. The FIOS ads I saw showed a remote control unit with four mode buttons. One was Auxiliary which is normally used to control a video system or other device. The FIOS installer left me a unit without extra modes. So am I forced to return to using several remotes to watch a DVD on my home stereo system and control the volume?
I must be mistaken.

well verizon changed to using the two function remote, and they offer the 4 unit universal for sale. i am sure you can buy it and then complain to billing and try to get a credit for the 6 dollar purchase price.
Customer support will only send out the new remote.
