Remote code for sylvania tv/dvd combo

I bought a Sylvania LD320SSX tv and we were unable to get the phillips remote control to work with the TV.  We tried all of these codes per the Verizon tech that was on the line with us:

0057 0081 0198 0205 3005 3006 3018 3042 3082 3095 3099 3105 3139 3161 3186 3192 3196 3210 3218 3221 3229 3235 3236 3237 3245 3246

And, we also went though the "922 Option" where the remote searches through all known codes roughly about 300 of them and was not able to find anyone that would work.  I confirmed with the Tech on the phone that I was hitting all the buttons correctly and that there just was not any code out there that worked with this TV currently.

Please tell me that there are some new ones that have just come out.  All he wants the Verizon remote to do is to turn on and off the tv and to control the volume.

The 922 option uses all the codes available on the remote. There isn't one for many Sylvania TVs, for one reason or another. I have one myself that doesn't work with the FiOS remote.

Not currently. We will just have to wait until Verizon puts out a new remote with an updated code database.

Well, you could always go the other way around. Get a universal remote that works with the tv and program it for the Verizon STB.

I did mine this way. I bought a Visio TV that I could not find a code for on the Verizon remote. But my Visio remote was also a universal remote, So I programmed it for the Motorola Cable box and it works great. So I'm using the Visio remote for my tv to control my Verizon STB.

There are many different universal remotes on the market. Some cheap and some expensive, but most will work with Verizon as Verizon just uses the standard Motorola code.

Now mine doesnt have the quick launch buttons like the Verizon remote (DVR, Widgets, Favorites, etc) but I can get to each of those via the menu. And I prefer my Visio remote. I just like it better.
