My STB is getting its Video Settings reset when i power cyclye my new LG TV. I can manually set video to be 1080 setting as well as setting override to STRETCH while the TV is on. Just a soon as I power the TV off and back on they are reset to the lower 720 HD settings and STRETCH is no longer on. I thought it was LG, but I go not support from their tech as they said their TV could not reset a cable box at all. Any ideas?

Are you using HDMI, is your TV 1080i, and are you using a receiver in the HDMI path between the TV and the STB? It sounds like the STB is negotiating what is sees during the HDMI handshake with the TV or receiver (if one is in the path).
The STB gets new HDMI handshake settings from the TV whenever it turns on. If the TV wants to default the STB's video settings to, say, 720p and SD override off, then the STB will allow that to happen. I have yet to find a way to not allow the TV to change the settings.
