I just learned that the TV I just bought is incompatible with my new Samsung UN32H6350. The main reason for purchasing was to run the FioS TV app w/o using a STB. Will Verizon ever update their app to be compatible with the new HW? What are my options?

I'm not understanding the post as you said your tv isnt compatible with your new samsung un32h6350......which is a tv.
A tv not compatible with a tv?
Did you mean the fios app is incompatible with Smart Hub on the tv? The fios app can only access very few channels and is very limited as it is.
Here is a list of all compatible tv devices (and others) with the fios app.

Like most things involving Verizon Fios where we don't find things out until they actually do it, if an update is coming to make it compatible is anyone's guess.

He's talking about a Samsung Smart TV app that displays that group of channels also available on xbox 360, etc, without having a STB. I Don't know if the fact it doesn't work is a Samsung or Verizon question. I run it on my 2012-2013 Samsung TV's, notably on one in a quest room where I don't have a STB.

All of the Samsung TVs that are compatible with the Fios TV app are from 2012-2013 and no longer being sold. I searched far and wide and couldn't finds one of the compatible 32" Samsung TVs. I had no other choice but to got with the latest and greatest which is the LED H6350 Series Smart TV - 32(UN32H6350). Does Verizon have any plans to support the Fios TV app on current and future Samsung LED TV models?
Whatever information you could share would be appreciated?

Your guess is as much as anyone else's guess. One thing with Verizon is they hardly ever share any news about anything until it actually happens or is about to happen. Even if they said yes the date it would happen would remain a mystery.

Plus I am not sure if it a Verizon decision or Samsung.
I would think that Samsung would do development (why would Verizon want to create apps for TV, XBOX, etc).

Verizon has created an Fios TV app for apple ipads, xbox and older Samsung smartv models. Will they be extending support of this app for the new Samsung smartv models?
