Screen going black

Over the past couple days, the TV screen will go black, but can still hear the audio. Must turn tv off and back on to get screen back

usually a bad connection on the hdmi/tv cable. 

Try to unhook it and rehook it back down nice, smooth and snug.    do so from both ends, and if you have another cable lying around the house or being used by another device, try to swap them.
