Set Top Box has no Connectivity

Hello Everyone,

I recently just got electricity restored from Tuesday's Ice Storm in the Northeast US.  Ever since, the SD set top box in my kitchen has not shown the clock on the front (Before: 12:00, Now: - -:- -). When I go to turn it on, it says "We have detected an issue with poor or no video signal on your Set Top Box".  I tried everything that the phone system told me to do and still, nothing.

Anyone know how to fix this issue? Every other STB is functioning normally.

Thanks,

The Frawley Family

Welcome to the forums.  This is a peer-to-peer place where customers help other customers.

Swap the suspect STB with a working STB.  If the problem follows the STB, then you know it is damaged.  If it works and the previously working STB now fails, you'll know the problem is with the coax network.

If it's the STB, you'll need to contact Verizon for a replacement.

If it's the coax, first check for loose connections.  If you have any amplifiers in your network, make sure they are working properly.  If you're not up the task of fixing your coax network, Verizon may be able to help you or you can hire a local low-voltage cabling expert to investigate and repair.

If you post the details of any tests you do, some of us may be able to help.

Good Luck.

Sometimes unplugging the STB for a minute will reset elctronics. Worth a try.
