My TV works fine. Verizon just sent a new DVR and cable (hook up between TV and DVR BOXbecause of the static problem), but still!.. It plays fine for a while then it starts.. STATIC STATIC STATIC.!! Picture is fine, I can hear sound, but on top of that is STATIC louder, then soft, then constant, then stops... ARRRRRGHHHH... any suggestions!! All cables are tight and secure; unplugged and replugged several times; Set Box rebooted.. I can't think of anything else and neither can Verizon!!..
What type of connections are you using between STB and TV?
Have you tried another type (ie HDMI for Component or vice versa)?
Or hook another device up to to the same port as the STB and see if you have the same issue.
It might be your television's speaker that has the problem and not the cable box. Do you have another TV you can try to see if you still hear the static?
