If you are using HDMI it could be a handshake issue.  try reseating cables at both ends. Also you may want to try a different HDMI port on TV and /or try a new cable. You can also try switching to compenent cable to see if issue stops. If you have anothe box, you can switch them and see if the problem happens when the box is moved.

Is this happening just in that one location or on other TVs in the house?

I have had the same problem for several months.  It is not just the TV;  I also lose my wired and wireless connections at the same time.  They automatically reconnect within a minute or two but it's very frustrating since I recently re-upped my contract.  I have called Verizon 3 times and they take me thru the "routine" to no avail.  They automatically assume it is the customers equipment and tell me it will cost me if they have to make a home visit.  The last time I called they told me to find the splitter in the panel that connects everything from the street to the house.  I check of corrosion and disconnected everything then reconnected.  Problem still exists.  Everytime I watch (and pay for) an ON DEMAND movie it happens at least once.  The movie then freezes and I have to exit out and restart the movie from the beginning....no resume option.  In all the years I've had Verizon I have never had a problem until now and I hate it because they aren't being very helpful and aren't too anxious to send a tech.

The next time this occurs go to the ONT and tell us what lights are lit and what color they are.

If you are referring to the router, Verizon installed everything in my garage on the other side of the house.  When my tv and internet bleep out it is only for 2 - 3 seconds and immediately corrects itself (internet reconnects, live TV resumes).  There is not enough time to look at the router and see what the lights are doing.  Got any other ideas?

Not enough time for something that takes less then a minute? I find that very hard to believe.

No, there isn't enough time to get from the tv or computer to the router that is in the garage...by the time even realize the inet or tv bleeped out it is already back on.  I just don't know what is causing it to blackout (disconnect) in the first place.  Do you find that hard to believe????

I am having the same problem, mainly with On Demand (both TV shows and movies).  When the screen blacks out, I get up and check my router.  The Internet light is out, then in a few seconds it goes to solid yellow and then to flashing green and the On Demand guide comes back on.  Then when I go back to my show, it usually starts over from the beginning even though I chose Resume.  Also, at least 3 or 4 times a week when I turn on the STB and try to change the channel, I will get a message saying "updating STB, this will take several minutes and you can't use your remote".  Why can't the STB be updated in the early morning hours and not in the middle of the day?  I was going to take my boxes and router (I've had them since I got FiOS in 2007) into the local Verizon Plus store today, but when I got to the store location it had closed on March 29.  I hate trying to resolve issues like this over the phone or on "live chat".  Why can't a customer with an equipment problem go somewhere and talk to someone in person?
