Was wondering if anyone could help me with this. My CEO gave me his DVR, QIP6416-2 model, to pull recordings of our company talks on the news and play them in house. I have no idea how to even begin taking these off, does anyone have any insight they could lend me to what I need to do in order to copy these off of the device?
First things first:
The DVR needs to be on a FIOS network to even boot up and download software.
Once you have done that, you can take the output of the DVR and run it to a recording device (DVD recorder, VHS tape, PC video capture card). Then record as it plays.
