Can one connect a DVD/VCR combo to the Motorola QIP2500.  If so, how?  I've tried everything!

If you have a coaxial cable running from the set top box connection that reads "to TV/vcr"  going to the combo device "cable in", you need to have the combo in vcr mode to watch TV and the channel needs to be set to channel 3.

Many thanks for the response.  I have done that, but I cannot watch a DVD which is usually viewed on Channel 00.  I cannot access that channel.

I happened to have an RF modulator I didn't know what to do with.  It did the  trick!  I am not able to view tapes and DVD's and I think my test recording of a tape may work.  I certainly spent hours and hours on this problem.  Thanks for your help.

The DVD/VCR combo should have an output on channel 3 or 4. not 00.

If using coax, the cable needs to go from the Verizon STB (out to TV) to the DVD (in from ANT) Then from the DVD (out to TV) to the TV.

The tv should be then set to channel 3 (default) or 4 (optional advanced setting). and what ever you play on the DVD should then be viewable.
