It is now 7 days after this post has been made, and I am still expierencing this issue. Any ETA on when you will get this service back up?

yes please, advise as we are in PA and have had no recent power outages so what is the problem, and why does the IN HOME AGENT state same when requesting help?

It's not just Video On Demand. I'm getting local OTA channels only even though I'm paying for the ULTIMATE package. Everything else says I'm NOT SUBSCRIBED.

Having the same problems here. Just locals. This has been going on since last night but Verizon chooses to not let anyone know what's going on. A friend a mile away has all his channels. I called Verizon and was told it's only VOD.

I can get local programming and I can also access VOD, so why does Verizon keep saying this outage is a problem with VOD? The probem is with all the OTHER channels! I get messages on everything else that I am not subscribed. BETTER **bleep** well be subscribed to SOMETHING for over $200/month! This started last night around 11:30pm or shortly after. The Set-top Box went offline while I was watching llocal news programming, then came back on a minute later, tuned to Showtime. ?? We did have some electrical storms in the area in the very early hours today, and the access problems seem to have started in earnest around that time. I have been ALL OVER this website for the past hour, looking for an answer, and this well-buried forum msg is the first mention I have seen of other people having these problems. Diagnostics from here and from the website troubleshooter only state that there is a problem with VOD that they expect to resolve by 11:28 pm tonight. Maybe if a general message was posted in an easy to access place, customer service wouldn't get slammed with phone calls (which I refuse to even try)? Just a suggestion.

Ours is out too. It's not just VOD it's everything. Just great. Seems like this has been an issue on the east coast for awhile now and no one is taking care of it?? Last time I had issues with verizon (during the strike) verizon swore it was my issue and finally after about a week of absolutely no service I had to threaten them and it took them almost 3 hours to fix a line issue! Could we get an update on this problem. Can't access anything to find out since your over loaded with irate customers. Please don't make me go back to comcast. please....

Read about the ActiveVideo law suit. Fios is in the middle of scrambling to make changes to VOD before the court ordered deadline.

Thanks for the reminder, tns - I had completely forgotten about that lawsuit. Here is a brief summary for anyone interested:

Sounds very similar to the lawsuit between DISH and, I think it was TIVO, a few years back.
