Verizon Media Manager Video Support

When will Verizon Media Manager support the capability to stream video from the PC. As of now, it ony supports pictures and music.

The strange this is that when I activate my Media Manager on my DVR, it states that I can access "Video" from my computer. But we all know that's not true. Thanks.

Re: Verizon Media Manager Video Support

I would like to know when video will be added as well. There is no doubt that this would add so much to Verizon's service for me. But...I think the answer is always TBA when it comes to updates. Nobody knows and if they do ....they won't nail down an exact date. It is really sad how slow things take when it comes to updates.

Who is doing the beta testing? Is Verizon looking for and outside testers?

Re: Verizon Media Manager Video Support

I tell you something, I am using my XBOX 360 to stream video from my computer to my tv. The 360 does not support all types of media either. But I am using a program called Tversity that streams and encodes all formats to your tv on the fly. Believe me...if Verizon makes this happen, it is a huge addtion. I am having a ball watching all of the Youtube videos on my tv.

I second the using ORB.  I use it on my Windows Mobile phone to stream movies from my computer to the phone to watch on the go.  Simply AMAZING!!  :smileyhappy:

Re: Verizon Media Manager Video Support

I had Tversity  setup for a while. I wanted to get it to work with my windows mobile phone but never could get it to fully work, so I just gave up.

Tversity has some small problems to work out. The ability to stream video and encode at the same time on the fly makes it a special program. Add the fact that it is a free program and you have one of the very best free programs out there. I have a ton a videos from my camcorder and other video formats on my computer. Tversity has no problem playing them while windows media center was unable to covert all video on the fly. I do want to try other programs...I heard that PLAYON is also a good program, but I haven't tried it yet. Either way it is going to be great when Verizon provides the ability to stream video to every receiver. I can't wait t0 play!!
