Hi,
I have a dead spot in my house and need a range adapter..... the Linkys support is contradicting themselves..... One told me I needed a G-model, the other sold me the Linkys N 3000 Nand promised me it was the best on the market right now and would work for sure. Anybody knows which system to use with Verizon Fios, G or N?
Thank you.

Verizon FiOS routers are b/g in the current generation. They will supposedly start rolling out n routers in the near future.
N routers are backwards compatible with b/g and sometimes "a" networks (need a "dual band" N for that). I suspect Linksys is telling you to get the "N" router and not use the wireless functionality in the FiOS router (which many others do as well -- there are quite a few threads here discussing various configuration setups) rather than using a "range extender".
