Why does my set top box reboot when using On-Demand?

I was told IMG 1.8 would fix this. No dice. Now I'm told I will have to have the box reset thus losing my entire schedule. I'm tired of re-entering my recording schedule over and over every time Verizon performs and  "update" and wrecks things!

This is **bleep**. Verizon broke it with an "update", FIX IT with one!

I wish they would enable the USB slot for a flash drive so I could save settings and schedules and favorites etc...

that would make life a lot easier when they zap my box and erase everything

Can't enable what has no hardware support (let a lone software support).  The USB and video in are OPTIONS that Verizon did not pay for.  The physical connectors are there since Moto shares the case and PCB with multiple models - it's called economy of scale for their production.
