Why are you having to reboot daily? That in irself is not normal, and likely a good reason for equipment replacement. Since the unit you describe is apparently refurbished, I suspect you would be better off exchanging for a new box. The easiest method for doing so is to go to a nearby walk-in store if one is available. They will exchange the STB, and you might be able to snare a freebie while you're at it.
