I just bought a new Sony BDP S3500 and can't find any codes that will work on the Verizon remote.
I have tried all the codes in the remote manual.
I have tried the manual code lookup.
Any ideas?

Yes, I know the differences in the Laser's and disk capacity but basically it is still a player with stop, pause, start, chapter headings and menus. Granted the underlying technology is different but the basic operation is not.
So bottom line, my verizon works with by TV, old DVD player, and cable boxes but not the new Blue Ray player.
Wil Verison be coming out with a new remote that will support Blue Ray players with them being the hottest seller over Christmas?

That almost like saying the DVD and VCR are the same, or VCR and Beta Max.
But you can get a universal remote that will support blu-ray too. But it is a 3rd party one, and they run at least $100 and higher. Here is a link to some. I dont know what ones will support Fios and blu-ray. But there is a good start for you.

Hello,
No the Philips remote does not have codes for most of the Blue Ray players out there as this remote's code library was put in when there were maybe one or two models in existence. Every so often we do put out new remotes with updated code libraries. This usually happens once every year or so and the previous upgrade came last summer.
